Patient Monitoring / Medication
Administration/Emergency Care

Our greatest concern is the safety of your pet, therefore before every sedation or surgery, we perform a pre-surgical exam and pre-anesthetic bloodwork. This is done in an effort to screen any hidden health problems that could interfere with a successful surgery outcome. After your pet has been given a sedative, an IV Catheter is inserted. An induction agent is given and your pet is intubated. Sedation is maintained with gas anesthesia. During surgery, your pet will be monitored for blood pressure, heart rate, respiration, blood oxygenation and temperature, as well as visually monitored by a technician. During surgery, your pets’ vitals are recorded every five minutes. After being moved from the recovery area, our staff provides the care need for your pet until the doctor discharges him/her from the hospital.
