The surgery area at Countryside Veterinary Clinic consists of a surgery prep area, recovery area, surgery suite and a dental room. Countryside Veterinary Clinic offers dental polishing and cleaning as well as other dental work necessary for your pet's well being. Ask your doctor why dental hygiene is so important to your pet.
In the surgery prep area we collect blood and urine for pre-anesthetic tests, the surgical area is shaved and cleaned, and pre-anesthetic and pain management medications are administered. After careful preparation and evaluation of tests, your pet will be moved into the surgery suite. The surgery suite is a clean room where we take every precaution to protect your pet fro mm infection. Your pet is protected through the use of carefully sterilized equipment as well the surgical team wears a surgical gown, gloves, cap and mask. While the doctor is performing surgery, a technician will be closely monitoring your pet's blood pressure, heart rate, breathing, color and temperature. After the surgery or dental is completed your pet will be placed in a recovery area to be monitored further. After the doctor evaluates your pet's physical status and determines his/her condition to be stable an animal care taker will relocate your pet into the designated housing recovery area to allow rest and recuperation. |
