March Pet of the Month

Wickett

Wickett

The reason why Wickett is special is because he was always such a friendly, loving cat, even though he went through so much. He endured several emergency trips to the hospital and weekly trips to Countryside to try to get his diabetes under control. The staff at Countryside were always happy to see him. Wickett would always willingly allow me to give him his insulin shots every day. Even up to the very end of his life, he was still purring and rubbing his face on me. I am just glad that he was in m arms when he passed. He was a great cat and he will be missed.

January Pet of the Month

Sophia Grace

Sophia Grace

The reason why Sophia Grace is special is…Sophie is the cutest thing on 4 legs! She lovers playing with her step sister, Jessi (a golden) even though she is 5 times smaller. She loves being with people, being outside investigating everything, but most of all being cuddled up next to one of us! Sophie, our little princess is royalty to us, especially a royal friend. She is an actual listener and while you share the ups and downs of everyday life, Sophie’s attentive to it all. Her little head turning while her eyes gazing right at you. We are so blessed to have her because we all need a good listener.

October Pet of the Month

Carmy

Carmy

The reason why Carmy is special is…
that he is 16 years old and is still loving and playful as the day I got him. Carmy is loyal and faithfully sleeps at my feet every night. We have been through 5 moves together and he is always my sweet but gentle giant. Carmy is the best, even my friend who prefers dogs loves him: “He’s the only cat she’s ever loved.” Carmy just tugs on everyone’s heartstrings…and he loves back just as much.

June Pet of the Month

Sir Hardy Briggs

Sir Hardy Briggs

Sir Hardy was a stray when he decided to adopt me eleven years ago. He is the most friendly cat I've ever seen. He greets each person he meets as though they are the most important human in his life. I'm not certain he knows he's a cat because he has many human traits. He may be under the impression that he is a short, furry person. He loves attention, sips his water from a glass, and enjoys listening to music. Music really causes Sir Hardy to bliss out. I leave the radio on for him when I go out. He is such a good friend. If I am a little late getting home I find him sitting near the door waiting for me.

Sir Hardy has never fully adjusted to being an indoor-only cat. So we compromise and Sir Hardy goes for walks on a leash to check out his neighborhood. People do a double take when they see him strolling along on a leash. Sir Hardy very much deserves to be pet of the month. He is a pur'-fectly delightful cat.
